A high school student who was about to graduate in a couple of days was killed in a single-vehicle collision in Oklahoma last weekend.
In the recently reported incident that was shared by People magazine, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol stated that the crash occurred on the Foothill Road about 0.4 miles west of the US Highway 77.
The OHP report added how the Lexus RX 330 was driven by Averiee Osmundson, who happened to be traveling eastbound on Foothill Road.
The car departed the roadway towards the left when it overcorrected, reentering the roadway before overturning several times.
The Lexus was ejected nearly 78 feet from where the vehicle came to a standstill, as shared in the report.
Osmundson was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining serious injuries from the crash, as per authorities. Her body was rushed to the nearby Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office.
The OHP report also shared how the seatbelt was not in use during that time. For now, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
