A family who was reportedly provided with a grand sum of money instead of just a $100 refund is now being told to pay it all back.

The family who hails from Australia claims famed cryptocurrency traders that use actor Matt Damon’s face when advertising and mistakenly transferred a whopping $10,400,000 instead of just $100 to a woman in Melbourne.

The major error took place when the firm says it intended to give the family just $100 as a part of their refund last year in May but mistakenly entered an account number in the field for transferring bank funds. This was meant to be the amount in dollars.

But the giant mistake was only made evident when the firm just underwent an audit recently, leaving its own members in a state of complete shock. This is nearly seven months after the transfer had taken place. But now, they want their funds back and that means the family from Australia is in major jeopardy.

When Crypto.com contacted the family for the return, they were shocked by the response that was provided to them. According to the family, $1.35 million had been spent on a luxe-themed residence that comprised five bedrooms while the rest was transferred to so many different accounts.

Hearing the news has sparked outrage in the firm which has taken legal action against Ms. Manivel and her sister Thilagavathy. The duo bought the house that’s located in the suburban area of Craigieburn. It even encases a private gym and cinema as well.

Four days later, the firm ordered the freezing of Ms. Manivel’s bank accounts. But the court documents proved how the funds were no longer restricted to just one place. Instead, they were shifted to another location that was a joint account.

A total of $430,000 was transferred to the daughter named Raveena Vijian.

Now, the court has ordered the family to sell the home and return the money immediately to Crypto.com. According to them, no one can be unjustly rich as the system does not allow that.
