Other sources confirmed how the woman struggled to stay afloat and had no idea that so many alligators were inside. But when they appeared, they did not spare her, attacking and killing her from all directions.

The sheriff’s office got a call regarding the incident at about 7:47 pm. This is when the woman was found dead at the scene and her body was getting dragged around by one of the alligators located inside. After the terrifying episode, both alligators were removed from that pond by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

One of the alligators was said to be 9 feet long while the second one was more than 7.5 feet long, sources added. More questions still remain in terms of the circumstances that led to her overall death and how she fell directly into the pond. This investigation is now being led by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.

Despite onlookers seeing the incident, they were unable to do anything about it. Paramedics rushed to the scene as well as the fire department when calls were hurled for help in their direction. But it was just too late. And now mourners have to live with the bitter reality that they were never able to pay their final respects.
