Witnesses called the actions out as a very theatrical performance where he pretended like he had fainted and then slumped down to the floor. This was also confirmed by one of the eatery’s managers where the suspect carried out the scam to absolute perfection.

Aidas had opted to seek medical attention for his fake heart problems and the only time he was caught was linked to the fact that he tried to perform his skit twice at the El Buen Comer.

Meanwhile, another worker from a restaurant spoke to a leading Spanish newspaper called El Pais. And that’s when he lay down on the ground and acted as if his chest was hurting and that’s when he started to shake too.

To ensure his act was successful, other measures that he took included dressing up in designer wear and pretending like he was a top Russian tourist who did not speak a lot of the Spanish language.
