A fake fundraising account in the name of Amber Heard has reportedly been shut down by GoFundMe after viral news spread on social media about the actress being unable to pay Johnny Depp for the defamation charges indicted by the jury recently.
According to local media reports, the actress will reportedly go bankrupt as she doesn’t have the financial means to pay the actor, as revealed by legal experts recently. For this reason, she is also appealing against the jury’s verdict as her legal team feels the decision was tainted by social media. In addition to that, the actress’s lawyer mentioned yesterday how they had plenty of evidence that was not included in the case.
Moreover, they even claimed that the evidence that was included was referred to as non-significant by Johnny Depp’s side.
But today, shocking new reports are being revealed about a fake fundraising account on GoFundMe that was begun in the name of the actress calling for the allocation of funds to pay the defamation charges.
The company revealed how the account was begun keeping a financial target of one million dollars in mind. And that’s when the company began to investigate it further, only to realize that it was fake and run by a woman by the name of Kimberly Moore.
“We have completed all the investigations necessary from our side and we know for sure that the account has nothing to do with Amber Heard or her legal team of experts. Therefore we are officially closing the account”- the company mentioned in a recent public statement released by the press.
Despite Johnny Depp winning the case, he has been ordered to pay his former partner $ 2 million while Amber Heard is said to pay out $8 million in regards to the defamation charges.
