Diogo Jota and his brother were laid to rest today amid close family members and friends attending their funeral.

The Liverpool star’s wife was seen holding her late partner’s casket the hold time and not once did she give up on him as she cried and hugged it for as long as she could.

Some among the crowd were seen lowering their heads as the procession passed, mostly due to respect but also because it felt very indecent to some to bear witness to his widow’s torturous suffering.

The duo had just tied the knot, 11 days back, and share three beautiful children together. He promised her forever, but that was not meant to be.

Just two weeks back, the pair exchanged wedding vows before loved ones and friends, but little did anyone realize that they would reunite again, this time in sadness and mourning.

His wife Rute was dressed in white and was assisting in carrying the man known to have magical feet and a joyful heart, towards his grave.

Both Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, passed away when their Lamborghini crashed and burst into flames on the Spanish highway during the early hours of Thursday morning.
