The youngest-ever lottery millionaire from the United Kingdom is opening people’s eyes and minds to the reality of winning and how it’s far from what it may appear.
While lotteries might seem like you’ve hit the jackpot, this young woman says that’s not the case here.
Many people were startled to hear her side of the story. They just couldn’t come to terms with the fact that a person with this much money would end up in the state that she was in. And it’s definitely not fun and games, that’s for sure.
Jane Park continued to reiterate that she did end up scooping a million quid on the Euromillions back in the year 2013 and during that period, she was just 17. The big win certainly didn’t turn out how it was supposed to be for her in the end.
Putting her post-win struggles in the limelight, Park says that winning at the age of 17 was just massive for her. She really did her absolute best and in the end, she did turn out to be victorious.
But the charm didn’t last long and slowly began to fade away with time. She added how money is never everything you could dream of. It makes you an ugly person and in her case, that’s exactly what happened.
Park mentioned how the start was absolutely fantastic and she was living life on her own terms. She never knew what to expect because it was just so surreal. But she had to carry on in her bubble world, whether she liked it or not.
Things were very weird for her because she started to hate her own life. This was not the feeling she wanted. It was fake and surreal, and seeing herself pretend like she was someone else had her speechless for days.
She says that many began to hurl abuses at her and stated that she was not deserving.
They felt that someone that young didn’t have the right to the funds and should give it up.But little did they know, she was going through her own emotional trauma and didn’t want the money anyways. As can be seen in her case, money certainly didn’t buy her happiness.
