The star and her partner Portia, sold off their last property in the US and chose to live the rest of their lives in the countryside of the United Kingdom. This is right after Ellen’s infamous toxic workplace scandal arose.
In the past week, the former talk show host spoke about a tragic matter through Instagram, where she and her partner’s beloved rescue dog Augie had passed away.
The pair rescued the dog nearly a decade ago and used to call it as one of their own. But destiny had other plans as the popular dog whom they called their family just died. The coupled owned the dog since they got married in 2008. This made it all the more heartbreaking for them.
We had to say goodbye to our dog yesterday. It was such a sad affair. He was with us through the good and the bad, the struggles and the successes. We will always remember him’- the star shared.
The news comes just a week after Ellen shared images of her difficult countryside lifestyle, where she can be seen running a tractor herself.
