The 26-year-old actress and trans influencer, who sparked outrage across the country after appearing on Bud Light cans as part of her partnership with the beer giant, is now moving into the high ranks of entertainment by striking a deal with Lionsgate.

The Canadian-American entertainment giant, which was founded in 1997, decided on a “last-minute paid partnership” with Mulvaney to “draw attention” to the movie adaptation of the Judy Blume novel ‘Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.’

Despite being inundated with positive ratings and reviews, the film featuring Rachel McAdams has made just $16 million in just under one month, meaning its earnings are well below the movie’s $30 million budget.

In her promotional clip for the movie, Mulvaney is seen talking to Blume about the inspiration for her novel and the censorship that it suffered back in the 1970s and 80s.

“I gave three copies to my kids’ elementary school, I was so proud, and the male principal of that elementary school removed them. And I asked him why, I was really that naïve,” Blume recalled.

“He said because it’s not appropriate for girls in elementary school to read about menstruation. I’m like ‘Do you know how many girls in 5th or 6th or maybe 4th grade already have their periods?’”

Despite getting to live through the 80s’ book banning, the author went on to insist that what was going on now is much worse and “scarier.”

Sharing advice for Mulvaney and other young creatives who want to speak out but are afraid to do so in fear of “suffering a backlash” from society, Blume added: “You can’t be scared. That’s the thing.”

After Mulvaney asked the author for advice to people who are new to exploring their womanhood, Blume said they should simply “enjoy it,” prompting the influencer to say: “Thank you.”

Concluding their promotional clip, Mulvaney and Blume signed off by blowing kisses and saying “Love ya” to the camera.
