The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh have reportedly stepped in for King Charles as they watch French soldiers guard the Buckingham Palace for the first time in history.

The grand historic event demanded a senior leadership to be present and with Charles battling with pancreatic cancer and Wiliam trying to juggle his duties while his wife battles her cancer, it was now up to the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh to play their role.

The event marked an occasion of 120 years of friendly relations between those two countries as mentioned by local media outlets.
