Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has requested King Charles III for a one-on-one meeting before she returns to California, a royal expert has revealed.
The former actress wants to discuss important matter during the meeting, and Neil Sean – an entertainment correspondent who appears on Access Hollywood, NBC News, and MSNBC – claims that the mother-of-two wants to clear the air with the new monarch.
“It’s a very brave move from Meghan herself,” Mr. Sean added.
Mr. Sean claimed that he has heard from a ‘very good source’ that the Duchess has sent a letter to the King for a meeting.
“Now, you know, you have to admire Meghan’s self-belief, whatever you think,” he went on.
“According to that good source, this (request) was made in a formal letter; this is how you write to the King, through his equerry and then, of course, that’s passed on etc.”
Mr. Sean also claims that Meghan feels it would be a great opportunity to ‘clear the air’ and ‘explain some of the rationales behind what they’ve been doing over the last two years.’
The commentator warned it remains unclear if the request will be enough for the Sussexes to make amends with the Royals.
“Truthfully, we have no idea if this is going to go forward,” he said.
During the Queen’s state funeral, Prince William and Prince Harry put their differences aside for a united front to remember their late grandmother.
The Prince of Wales was seen walking to the end of the pew with his wife Kate and children George and Charlotte as he beckoned for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to walk past them.
The Sussexes took their seats, with Harry sitting next to Charlotte, the Princess of Wales between Charlotte and George, and the young prince next to his father, who was seated at the end of the pew.
