Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly under fire after appearing in the courtroom for her ski crash case.
The celeb was blasted yesterday after a lawyer accused her of lying under oath, adding how the actress was staging fabricated stories. And as you can imagine, that really took the celeb by storm.
The celeb is currently fighting a case where she allegedly crashed into a skier after violently colliding with him. But when asked to take the stand and swear under oath, the reported lawyer asking her questions was stunned by the words coming out of her mouth.
On that note, he opted to not hold back and blast the celeb for lying. This incident took place on Friday and it was the first time that Paltrow took the stand. Clearly, no one was expecting this.
“This woman has lied in the past despite being under a sworn deposition and she continues to lie right now”- these were the words coming out of the attorney from the opposing side.
For a brief moment, there was silence in the courtroom after such statements were made. And that’s when the star’s jaw dropped and she started to shake her head in denial as to what was being alleged before her.
Paltrow’s attorney immediately stepped in and condemned the statement, calling such comments as obnoxious and slanderous.
She also stated that the comment needs to be withdrawn immediately from the record. And that’s when the judge stepped in and asked if she would like to rephrase that statement.
As expected, the judge did appear to side with Paltrow and that was definitely a little shocking for obvious reasons. Later on, the actress was asked if such statements had any truth to them. And the celeb boldly denied it and mentioned, ‘absolutely not’.
