A couple engaged in romantic relations while driving at 90mph nearly sparked a massive motorway pile-up on the German Autobahn.

The pair were too busy having s*x inside their Ford vehicle and were seen veering across the A1 as it moved towards Dortmund in the nation’s West on Monday.

The car came close to leaving the road and there was one point in time that it pulled so hard to the right that a truck was forced onto the hard shoulder, as shared by local media outlets.

As per one witness who was familiar with the matter, they noticed the strange behavior and did not hesitate to call up the police to inform them about what was going on. That is when the 37-year-old male and 33-year-old female passenger were chased by the cops for having intercourse.

The duo was arrested at the petrol station just outside the city of Munster. The man was charged with dangerous interference with road traffic.

Under section 315b of the German Penal Code, he faces nearly five years in jail if he’s convicted. The country’s famous federal highway system is known for having large sections without any kind of speed limits, but not every part is unrestricted.
