A British forklift driver who turned into a millionaire overnight suffered a life-threatening health scare after months of non-stop partying.
This incident forced him to rethink his entire post-jackpot lifestyle, according to a new report.
Adam Lopez went from having nearly $17 in his bank account to having more than $1.3 million on hand after winning a scratch off lottery in July as reported by BBC.
By September, Lopez was in the back of an ambulance and had suffered from a bilateral pulmonary embolism, as shared by the outlet. “I knew what I was doing was going to come to an end eventually, and it nearly came to an end in the worst possible manner. It was huge and a massive wakeup call for me’- he shared with the outlet.
The forklift driver turned millionaire recalled how he partied long and hard for the past three months and burned the candle at both ends after suddenly winning the life-changing prize.
He added how this has allowed him to live a little bit of his life that he never had the urge to live but he thinks that he did it the wrong way. “It was enjoyable until my health became an issue’ – he continued.
‘It became so apparent to me about three weeks ago when a blood clot was discovered in my leg, which ended up spreading to my lungs’- he shared.
