An American woman was recently gunned down by several Mexican cartel members who accidentally mistook her dad’s pickup truck for one that belonged to a rival gang.

The tragic reports were shared by local media outlets who identified the victim as Isabel Ashanti Gomez who happened to be riding with her father in his Ford F-150.

This is the exact moment when they were ambushed in the cartel-controlled zone on the Zitacuaro-Aputzio highway in Juarez.

Instead of stopping at the makeshift roadblock, which cops felt was set up by the notorious Jalisco New Generation Cartel, Valentin accelerated and then made attempts to crash through a barrier as shared by the Sun.

Just hours before her passing away, Gomez mentioned joyful videos showing her dancing with her uncle to wish him a happy birthday, but her loved ones didn’t know that this would be her last post online before her tragic death.
