The Iranian parliament is not getting much love at all for holding the world hostage after shutting down a key shipping route.

Iran confirmed yesterday that its parliament has approved the shutdown of the Strait of Hormuz in a move that might see the world thrown into a complete disaster.

The decision that was made to shut down the Strait, through which 20% of the global oil and gas demand flows, was yet to be final yesterday but now it’s confirmed that this is the decision being taken by the nation.

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council shared how it was in charge of making this final call on the matter, as the US urges China to put pressure on Iran to rethink the decision.

The country’s young journalist club shared how it plans to do everything on the agenda, if and when necessary.

Last weekend, the decision was said to be under consideration, but after the recent US attacks from yesterday, the country refuses to show mercy and will do everything it can for its own security and benefit. This region is also known to be the world’s most important oil transit chokepoint.
