A family’s dog survived the recent catastrophic floods in Texas against all odds by climbing into a washing machine.
As per one resident from Hunt, Cody Vlasek explained to media outlets that his family’s residence was flooded with water that was found to be waist-deep in a matter of just 20 minutes.
It was just too dangerous, and therefore, he couldn’t look for his dog as there was no time to search before leaving to get to a higher ground.
‘I had to break down my windows, and when I managed to climb through, I heard a scratching sound and a whimper. I knew that someone was in there, other than me!’- he shared.
As he went to get to a higher ground, that’s when he turned his head around the corner and found his dog floating in the washer. He now recalls finding his dog safe and sound.
Cody’s mom, Denise, was among the first few in the family to wake up. The teen and both of his parents swiftly rushed out of the home. That is when they recalled the water coming up to the waist and shared how they had no time to search for the dog before making their way to the neighbor’s home uphill. This story is nothing short of a miracle, they added.
