One Indian minister is going viral around the globe after he was caught on camera drinking a glass of sewage water from a so-called holy river, only to end up at the hospital.
Social media was abuzz with the live footage of the minister doing the unthinkable as a means of promoting the river to locals and assuring them that it was nothing but safe and hence they could drink the water.
But many were very wary about the decision and that’s why the minister thought it would be a good idea to come on TV and prove all myths about the river water being polluted wrong.
Sources from local media outlets in India revealed how the plan backfired big time as the minister started feeling unwell immediately and hence was reportedly rushed to a local nearby hospital and admitted for emergency treatment.
The high-profile leader was identified as the chief minister for the country’s Punjab region and his name was Bhagwant Mann. Moreover, the exact location from where he drank the water was also revealed to be Kali Bein.
The shocking video footage shows the minister using his glass to scoop up some water and then immediately gulp down the filthy-looking fluid in a few sips. And now, the video is going viral with many claiming that the joke was on him for promoting such ridiculous behavior to the masses and risking people’s lives too.
Bhagwant Mann was stated to be airlifted to the hospital because that’s how quickly he became sick. His entire incident was recorded live by media outlets that happened to be stationed in the same area as the minister.
Doctors are now treating him for severe stomach infection as he remains admitted and is currently seeking treatment with assistance from a multi-disciplinary team, the sources from India’s local media outlets revealed.
