His former girlfriend watched from a distance as he was sensationally declared not guilty of trafficking and racketeering. Insiders claim that despite being pregnant, she went through weeks of gut-wrenching testimony during the trial, only to be given such a verdict.
She continued to claim that Combs had beaten and abused her during their 11-year-long relationship. However, the star’s defense attorneys brought up text messages during the cross-examination period to reveal how she adored taking part in the freak-offs that he organized.
But the jury on Wednesday did not get swayed by her testimony and rejected all the claims linked to the latest charges and only convicted the star of transportation to take part in prostitution with Ventura and another female.
The conviction on the lesser charge carries a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
