Tragic reports have confirmed the death of actor Devin Lee Harjes at the age of 41.
The star was known for his performance on several shows, including Manifest, Boardwalk Empire, and Daredevil.
Harjes reportedly passed away on Tuesday at Mount Sinai West Hospital in New York City from a sickness after he was diagnosed with cancer in February, as shared by the Hollywood Reporter.
Harjes was best known for his work on television, appearing as Jack Dempsey in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. And in the comic book world, he played the role of a nurse named Oscar who worked at Rikers Island in Marvel’s Daredevil, and Clyde, who was a guard who worked at a bank in DC’s Gotham.
The star’s further acting credits included the likes of Orange is the New Black, Blue Bloods, FBI, Elementary, Rebel in the Rye, Boyz of Summer, The Forest is Red, When the Shadow Falls, and Surprise Surprise.
The star was born and raised in Texas and had a great love for animals. He grew up around horses. However, after his discovery, he soon realized he adored acting and studied in college, and moved to New York City to pursue his professional career, where he began by working on various student films.
