Further heartbreaking details are emerging surrounding the sudden death of HBO’s Euphoria star, Angus Cloud, at the age of 25.

The actor passed away in his home in Oakland on July 31.

His grieving family said in a statement to TMZ: “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”

His family continued: “Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.

“Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”

Cloud’s heartbroken mother called 911 at around 11:30 am and told officers her son may have taken a ‘possible overdose.’

The mother told police her son did not have a pulse and the actor was later declared dead at the scene.

According to a person close to the family, Cloud had been suffering from ‘severe su*cidal thoughts’ since the death of his father.

On July 14, Cloud posted a photo of his late father with the caption: “miss u breh.”

The family also told TMZ in a statement that the actor had struggled after the death of his father, whose funeral was held in last week.

Euphoria’s official page on Twitter released a statement after the news of his passing.

“We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family.

“We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
