From being banned from all his movies to the industry unwilling to work with him, he says life has been very tough ever since. And while he chose to remain silent for so long, it was finally time for the world to know the truth.

Let’s take a quick look at how a woman’s allegations could potentially have destroyed his career. For starters, Disney removed him from the upcoming sequel of the Pirates of the Caribbean which was a blockbuster film whose lead character was always played by Depp himself. They also told him that he would no longer be allowed to work for them, ridding him of so many cinematic chances to achieve growth in his career.

The actor tried to respond by mentioning how the character Jack Sparrow was something he had built from the ground upwards. He claims to have put a lot of effort into getting into the role and to see someone crumble that in seconds was one of his life’s hardest moments.

It wasn’t just the acting part that Depp was referring to. He also claims to have taken part in dialogue re-writing and personally was involved in adding his own sense of humor and flair so that the movie would have that special touch that has appealed to audiences for so long.

In addition to that mega loss, the actor revealed on numerous occasions during his defamation trial how the entire fiasco has damaged his life and razed his reputation down to the ground. And according to him, things will never be the same again, whether he wins or loses the trial.
