Johnny Depp is back in business with a bang as the celeb’s much-talked-about Dior fragrance ad is making the rounds again.
It seems like the designer label is betting big on the superstar, ever since he won his defamation trial against former partner Amber Heard.
The famous French designer house is putting the old ad back on display that many once felt was highly controversial after Amber Heard had written an op-ed in the Washington Post that she says was not related to him.
But insider reports claim that even at that time, the sales of the cologne did not plummet and now, it appears they’re doing the brand some great favors as people are loving his face across television and social media.
Depp is seen advertising the famous Sauvage cologne that has been increasing in demand as we speak. And we’re not too surprised because the celeb has become into a social media sensation ever since the defamation trial started.
So far, the designer label has failed to comment on whether or not it plans on revamping the old ad and striking with another one because we’re seeing the old ad continue to be aired all over.
For those who may not be aware, the actor is the brand ambassador for the leading French fashion label’s cologne and was named as such in 2015. And no matter how many other brands and production houses may have cut ties and left his side, Dior is definitely one brand that had full faith in the actor since day one.
TMZ was one of the first to notice how the ad was aired during primetime of an episode of Masterchef on the channel Fox between the 8 to 9 pm time slot this Wednesday.
The ad was first posted in September of 2021 and it did come under fire for showing support for the star despite the allegations against him by his former partner. But that’s not the only ad that he has shot with the label.
