Dramatic new audio has been shared that reveals the exact moment when air traffic controllers were told a Delta Jet carrying 80 passengers was lying upside down and burning.
The plane crashed and flipped upside down at Toronto Pearson Airport on Monday afternoon in what many called the most harrowing scenes.
The latest aviation disaster did not see any fatalities but 18 people were said to be injured including a young child. However, the majority were able to escape physically untouched.
Audio from the air traffic control caught the exact moment when one of the officials declared in a somber tone that the airplane had crashed on the runway and was lying upside down on its roof, also adding that it was on fire.
Emergency crews were seen rushing towards the plane and putting out the blaze and also spraying it with extra foam to prevent any form of further fire or explosion.
Passengers were assisted by brave crew members who put their lives on the line and instead of escaping, they assisted the passengers in getting off and out safely. Some were just shocked by the terror that just unfolded while others were feeling blessed to make it out alive.
