36-year-old actress Amber Heard has reportedly sat down for her first interview after losing $8 million in the defamation trial against Johnny Depp.
According to local media outlets, the actress was seen calling Depp for his actions, repeating her claims that he was a liar and had hit her.
The interview took place today with Savannah Guthrie who had been recorded last week on Thursday. It was now aired today during the early hours of the morning. Sources claim that it would be shared in full on the Dateline during the evening hours of Friday.
The famous Aquaman actress also went as far as accusing the jurors of being swayed by the presence of her former partner, while calling out Johnny Depp for conducting a famous acting show while on the stand.
Heard made an uber bizarre reference to the star’s acting performance from Edward Scissorhands, in which she says that it’s unbelievable how his teams of lawyers could actually go about believing someone who had convinced the entire world that he actually had scissors instead of real fingers.
She added how there were so many lies being made by her ex-husband, especially in regards to how he never hit her. “Yes, it is a huge lie. He lied, he hit me. And I am telling you that I am standing by every single word that I have mentioned during my testimony”- the celeb continued.
This interview was the first time ever that the star has revealed publicly her thoughts about the case, despite a jury ordered her to pay $8 million in terms of damages.
Johnny Depp, on the other hand, has been ordered to pay Heard $2 million as compensation for the damages. But his legal team revealed last week how Depp would most likely waive those changes off.
