Matthew Perry’s death investigation is now being examined by the Robbery Homicide cops, sources have confirmed.
According to reports from local media outlets, the news has left fans in a state of shock after foul play was ruled out as a cause of the celeb’s death.
The death took place over the weekend, Saturday afternoon to be more specific. And that’s when speculations arose about no signs of foul play. Similarly, there was talk about how the star passed away from drowning inside his hot tub and was discovered by his assistant who ran to lift his head out of the water.
This was so he could attain oxygen but it was too late. He was unresponsive and that’s when heartbreaking calls to first responders were made for help.
The first responders took out the star’s body from the water and they claimed that he was dead when they arrived and could not be saved. Moreover, they were also seen speaking about how they had been given reports about an adult male suffering from a cardiac arrest but that was not the case.
He had died by drowning. And despite no signs of medicine or drugs being present at the site of the incident, the investigation is handed over to the cops in the robbery-homicide department.
“We did not find any illegal drugs at his residence. The autopsy final reports will confirm if the star had any meth or other drugs inside his body at the time of his death. And for that, we will be waiting patiently and avoiding any speculations as the family needs time to mourn”- the authorities confirmed.
As per reports from media outlet TMZ, it’s just a standard procedure to hand over cases like these to the LAPD Robbery Homicide division to further investigate the matter. And that includes high profile cases involving celebs such as this one.
