Diane Keaton’s cause of death has been revealed.
According to reports from local media outlets, the star passed away from an episode of pneumonia on Saturday. Her family shared in a recent statement that was shared with People magazine on Wednesday.
The Keaton family is very grateful for the love and support coming in from all directions and for all the kindness they’ve gotten in the past few days on behalf of their beloved Diane, the statement read.
The post spoke about how Diane loved animals and was very steadfast in her support of the unhoused community, so any donations that were given in her memory to a local food bank or animal shelter would be a wonderful gesture and great appreciation, they continued when speaking about the tribute to her.
A family rep shared previously how Keaton passed away in California at the age of 79. Another insider close to the star mentioned how her health had rapidly declined in the past few days, leading up to her death.
