‘They just randomly found it alright to call me up and state through a casual phone call that they knew my daughter better than me. They explained that she was not a girl but a boy. I was mortified. I thought it was some kind of a silly prank. Who in their right mind would even think about saying such things?”- the mom questioned.

The mom happened to be shopping at Waterstones then. She did not know what was going on and suddenly, her world turned upside down.

The mother has now chosen to raise awareness on the subject. She says that no parent should ever have to fight over their child’s identity with the school. And was right. It’s wrong and unethical on so many levels.

“I want other parents to know that this behavior is not right and it’s uncalled for. We can’t allow it and schools need to know when they’re crossing the line”- she explained.

Rarely, if ever, did little Olivia give her parents a cause for concern. She was also so fond of the great outdoors and was the usual description of a typical fairy princess. All in all, she never showed a sign that would make her loved ones think twice about her being in the wrong gender.

The student was only 12 but the fact that she had a lot of LGBT and male friends did begin taking an impact on her. And her parents revealed she quietly used to label herself as being in the wrong gender.

But her parents thought it was a phase that would soon pass, but it didn’t. Soon, she became quiet and started to cause harm to herself. This was due to bullying and having short hair. Now, her school claims the whole thing maybe because she’s a boy after all.
