Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke are expecting their first child and are thrilled to become parents.

The 33-year-old Harry Potter star confirmed the news on Saturday via his spokesperson.

“Daniel and Erin could not be happier to be expecting. They are absolutely thrilled, and can’t wait to become a family of three,” a source told The Mirror.

“They told their families and friends recently. It’s an incredibly exciting time.”

Radcliffe and Darke are thought to have been dating for over ten years after first meeting in 2012 while filming the drama film Kill Your Darlings.

“Daniel is so excited to be a dad. His relationship with Erin is really special and everyone thinks they will be amazing parents,” an insider told The Sun.

“They have kept it pretty quiet up until now but she can’t hide her bump anymore.”

The confirmation comes a day after the pair were spotted strolling through New York City. During their outing, Daniel wore jeans and a padded jacket along with a striped winter hat. Meanwhile, Erin sported black leggings, a checked coat, and a hoodie that accentuated her growing baby bump.

Previously, in 2015, Radcliffe admitted that he was immediately attracted to Darke after the two met on the set of Kill Your Darlings.

“There’s no acting going on—not from my end, anyway. There’s a moment when she makes me laugh, and I’m laughing as me and not as my character. She was incredibly funny and smart. I knew I was in trouble,” he told Playboy.

As for Erin, she told People that “there’s something that’s really beautiful and really lovely about being with someone who just innately understands that about you.”

“We’re both incredibly supportive of the other person’s career,” she added.
