Hunter Biden explained in his latest interview that his dad’s disastrous performance in last year’s debate with Donald Trump was due in part to Ambien.

‘I know exactly what happened in that particular debate’- he mentioned in the latest interview that was shared on Monday on the anniversary of Joe Biden ending his re-election bid.

‘He flew around the globe and is said to be only 81 years old. He was tired and they gave him Ambien to sleep, and then he got on the stage and looked like a deer in headlights’- he mentioned.

 

It’s so far not clear when exactly the elderly 46th president consumed the sleep aid, which increased the risk of side effects like drowsiness among patients older than the age of 70, whose bodies also process the drug in a slower manner, as per the FDA fact sheet.

Hunter also did not mention in detail how long his father was on Ambien in the run-up to that debate. The then-president arrived hours later than scheduled to inspect the entire CNN debate stage on the night of July 27 last year. This was after spending more than four hours out of sight at the hotel nearby.
