Tom Cruise was recently seen promoting his new film Mission Impossible but he certainly did end up taking a lot of fans off-guard all of a sudden with some shocking remarks.
The star spoke about his thoughts on retirement and when the leading actor would consider it as a whole.
Tom Cruise just recently celebrated his 61st birthday and it’s safe to say that he is in a league of his own because the star has been in the industry for decades.
Therefore, while promoting his new Mission Impossible flick, he was asked to shed light on what it would mean to him to be retired at this age.
The star happens to be in Australia at the moment and he’s all smiles to see how well his blockbuster new film would be doing but while chatting with fans, he caused a little bit of an uproar in terms of his retirement plans.
This is not something that fans even wish to think about ever because that’s how much they adore him to bits. Hence, when asked, they were curious to hear what the star’s response would be.
Thankfully, he brushed it off by mentioning that he’s got zero plans for retirement at this moment in time. And for him, age was just a number.
Then the actor took reference to Harrison Ford who happens to be in his 80s but is still going strong. And he loves that about him for obvious reasons.
“I’ve got 20 years until I can catch up to someone like him”- he added while speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald.
And until then, he hopes to continue to be a part of all sequels linked to Mission Impossible because it’s now his identity and he wouldn’t wish to change that ever again.
