Donald Trump has been suffering from a serious venous insufficiency, as shared by the White House recently.
They confirmed that this was the reason behind the President’s bruised hands and swollen ankles that have been in the spotlight for a while now.
The condition generally results when blood inside the legs struggles to circulate throughout the body and then to the heart.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt spoke about how the disclosed diagnosis is a new move of transparency that the administration wishes to adopt, a massive different approach from that seen from the previous Biden administration.
She also mentioned how the president did notice swelling on his lower legs, and in keeping with his routine medical care and abundance of caution, this concern was evaluated thoroughly by the White House medical unit.
But she did mention how he’s not in danger, as shared by his medical team, and it’s said to be a very common chronic condition for those people over the age of 70. ‘The main thing to point out here is how there are no signs of deep vein thrombosis and any kind of arterial disease’- she continued.
