Courteney Cox received her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday.
The 58-year-old actress, who played Monica Geller in the beloved sitcom Friends, was accompanied by her co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston as her name was immortalized at the iconic Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
Joining Cox, who marks the 2,750th person to be recognized on the Walk of Fame, were also her daughter, 18-year-old Coco Arquette, her partner, 46-year-old Johnny McDaid, and her close friend, 56-year-old Laura Dern.
“We’re very honored to be here today to speak on your behalf as your co-workers, your friends, and your family, your sisters. And that’s happened since we’ve known you for a very long time,” Aniston said in a tribute to Cox.
“It’s been that way since we met almost 30 years ago,” Kudrow added.
Aniston jokingly continued: “No, not 30 years ago. That’s a typo.
“To be friends with Courteney is to be family with Courteney. She is responsible for all of that. From the beginning of when we met her, she was immediately inclusive, warm, loving, interested in everything about you.”
The pair went on to recall the first time they met the actress while revealing she played poker with them for the sake of bonding even though she “loathed it from the bottom of her heart.”
Ending their emotional speech, Kudrow and Aniston said: “Courteney, we just want to say that we are deeply, deeply proud to know you. You are the definition of a truly beautiful, talented, and, what’s most important, a truly good and decent human being. Thank you for enriching our lives personally.”
Meanwhile, Cox thanked her loyal friends for their support while saying it was “so nice” to receive the honor in the presence of her loved ones.
