United Airlines was seen making an emergency landing at Newark Airport today.
The flight was carrying more than 200 passengers, and they were forced to make that landing during the early hours of the day.
The flight took off from New Jersey Airport just before 6 am but managed to turn back about an hour into the flight after suffering a mechanical issue.
The Boeing plane had 176 passengers and six crew members on board and was on its way to Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport at that time as per flight tracking data.
The flight was on its way to Las Vegas but had to return back to the Newark Liberty International Airport to address a serious mechanical issue as per local media outlets.
While the plane did manage to land safely and all the passengers were deplaned normally at the gate, it was certainly terrifying for some.
The official statement from the airline spoke about how they managed to arrange another aircraft to take all customers to Las Vegas during the morning hours. However, the news comes just one day after another Delta flight was seen making an emergency landing and forcing passengers to slide down after smoke filled the cabin.
