A disturbing individual who was falsely claiming to be Madeleine McCann is finally confronted by the judge, who shared that she is indeed not the missing toddler.
Julia Wandelt cried at the judge’s ruling as she disagreed with the news of the 24-year-old not having any kind of familial link to the McCanns.
Wandelt is now facing trial and has been accused of stalking Madeleine’s parents which including Gerry and Kate.
During the trial, prosecutors shared more about how Wandelt pursued the myth, and the young Brit’s parents were contacted on several occasions through phone calls, email, and also her turning up to their residence on more than a single occasion. Jurors also heard that there was unequivocal scientific evidence that Wandelt isn’t related to the McCanns despite her claiming to have memories of Madeleine’s childhood and disappearance.
Wandelt broke down into tears during the trial after the prosecutor shared, ‘Can we at this very early stage in the trial make this position clear, that Julia Wandelt is not Madeleine McCann!’
However, Wandelt isn’t the only one facing jurors. Karent Spragg is also getting accused of stalking and causing some serious distress to Kate and Gerry from 2022 to 2025.
