China has reportedly banned all of its young soccer players from getting tattoos, citing how the possession of body art does not set a good example for society.

According to local media reports, all Chinese soccer players have been urged to get their existing tattoos removed if they have a desire to represent the country’s national team.

Therefore, all existing players that happen to have any existing tattoos must now undergo the painful and daunting process of getting those tattoos removed.

Those who do not wish to follow the rules will now be at major risk of being snubbed from the professional soccer team, as confirmed by local state media.

Meanwhile, the General Administration of Sport has gone on to reveal how they are moving one step ahead from the rules placed in the year 2018, and that’s where all soccer players were forced to cover their existing tattoos if they wished to continue playing the sport.

But the latest rule put forward by the GAS says it wants players who have existing tattoos to be removed from the team, in case they don’t wish to undergo the process of getting the body ink removed.

“It’s time for the players to set up a good example for the society in China,” they added.

“If there happen to be any special circumstances that were agreed by the team, all the players must cover them up during the training as well as the matches,” revealed the association.

China has already made plenty of heads turn when it put forward a certain rule of not allowing female players to play in matches if they had dyed their hair. Therefore, all players with dyed hair could not take part.
