A woman from Texas found more than a package on her doorstep when she checked an unexpected alert from her doorbell camera.

Resident Anna, who hails from Cypress in Texas, had no planned guests or deliveries, so she was really surprised when her Ring doorbell camera sent her a motion alert for the front door of her home.

What Anna found when she checked the footage from her doorbell camera was even more shocking.

‘I got a motion alert from my doorbell and was shocked to see a wild chicken snake slithering down my wall- this was something strange and scary at the same time!’- the woman mentioned.

The chicken snake who is well known as the eastern rat snake or yellow rat snake, is a large snake that, despite being nonvenomous, is known to be daunting thanks to its extremely long nature.

It can start at 3.5 feet and go up to 7 feet long in length as per the National Wildlife Federation. This species tends to live in woodlands, farm areas, and suburban neighborhoods in the eastern to central US.
