At Least 43 People, Including 15 Children, Dead in Devastating Texas Floods as Search and Rescue Efforts Continue


More than 40 people have passed away as the search and rescue operations are still underway in Texas after flash floods rocked the state.

This caused the Guadalupe River to overflow, according to officials.

As per the latest statement shared by the sheriff’s office, the remains of 43 people were recovered.

Hundreds of first responders were seen on the ground, air, as well as the water as they searched and rescued for more survivors.

So far, the cops have confirmed that 43 people were killed and their bodies were recovered. The deceased included 28 adults and 15 children. For now, the 12 adults are still pending identification, and five kids are also pending identification.

Other reports shared how the death toll rose to 47 as of yesterday afternoon. Sadly, the death toll is said to increase.

Texas shared how it appreciated the government’s assistance, including all local agencies, state, and federal emergency responders. They added that the work is continuing and will continue until the end.

Water in the Guadalupe River has risen to alarming levels, and now it’s reached its second-highest level to date. That specific region where the river is present received 10 inches of rain.
