At least 12 people were killed in a mass shooting this weekend, as confirmed by local media outlets in Saulsville, Africa.
Three gunmen reportedly started to open fire at individuals inside the bar in a hostel at about 4:30 am local time on Saturday, as per The Times, BBC, and News 24.
10 people passed away at the scene, and two more died at the hospital. Three of those victims were minors and included a 3-year-old child, 12 year 12-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old girl, as confirmed by the local authorities.
Moreover, a total of 25 more were said to be wounded in this shooting, as per the outlets. A spokesperson for the police mentioned how the three-year-old child victim was the child of the owner.
‘I think one of the minors is also the brother of the owner. So quite an unfortunate matter, but we do have full faith and confidence in this team that has been established to get to the bottom of the legal case’- the source continued.
As per Mathe, authorities were currently on the hunt for three suspects believed not to be involved in the shooting incident. He mentioned how the police were not notified of this matter until 6:15 am. The motive of these killings were currenlty labeled as unknown.
