Famed celebrity chef Anne Burrell’s cause of death has been revealed.
The star, who passed away at the age of 55 on June 17 at her Brooklyn home, passed away by taking her life, The Post confirmed. Burrell’s cause of death was determined by the New York City medical examiner’s office and is mentioned as s*icide by acute intoxication due to the combined effects of taking several drugs. The fact that she chose to take her life has left her loved ones, friends, and fans devastated.
This includes diphenhydramine, ethanol, cetirizine, and amphetamine. The news of her death was shared by her loved ones in a statement to People magazine.
She was remembered as the most loving wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend. Her smile is what lit up every room that she entered. Her loved ones once told her that her presence radiated far beyond what she knew, touching millions of lives around the globe.
The New York City Police Department shared that Barrell was found in a state of unresponsiveness and unconsciousness and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cops arrived at her address after responding to a call about a 55-year-old female who was not responding or conscious. In her last photo, she was seen smiling with her friends and had also recently performed at a show with no signs of depression or willingness to end her life.
