King Charles Is Willing To Recognize Meghan’s Children As Prince And Princess Under One Condition

King Charles III is reportedly willing to officially recognize Meghan and Harry’s children as prince and princess under one condition.

While Archie and Lilibet were automatically entitled to become Prince and Princess after the Queen’s death in accordance with the late King George’s rules, they were not yet given the HRH titles or official recognition by King Charles.

As royal expert and author Katie Nicholl claimed, the monarch could agree to officially recognize Lilibet and Archie’s titles provided that their parents, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, prove they can be trustworthy.

“One of the interesting things that came out in all of this was the speculation about titles, and Archie and Lilibet … whether they would officially be acknowledged as Prince and Princess, the titles owed to them when Charles became King,” Nicholl said.

“They remain ‘Miss’ and ‘Master’ currently [on the website]. And I’m told that that is a very clear signal from the King. He’s willing to give those titles, but it comes with a caveat, and that caveat is trust.”

Concluding, the royal biographer said: “They have to know that they can trust the [Sussex] family.”

Should King Charles III find it in his heart to forgive the Sussexes and turn a new page, Meghan might finally see her wish for her children to be granted the royal titles come true.

The Duchess of Sussex previously falsely claimed in an interview with Oprah that her son, Archie, didn’t become a prince because he was a mixed race like her when in fact the real reason was that he was too far down the succession line to be granted the title.

This, however, changed with the Queen’s death and Charles’ ascension after which Archie and Lilibet became grandchildren of the reigning monarch.

While much remains unclear, some royal experts suggested that King Charles might opt to compromise by recognizing Archie and Lilibet as Prince and Princess but not granting them the HRH titles.
