Singer Nelly Furtado was seen making light of the reaction related to her new silhouette while headlining Manchester Pride on Sunday, after recently being praised for her gorgeous curves.
The singer who shared recently how she’s chosen the natual route with her looks and has proudly shown off new self opted to flaunt an optical illusion skinny t-shirt.
It was clear that she was making a jibe about body ideals. In the cartoon themed top that Nelly wore, there was a white vest which displayed her stomach and a short mini skirt with a belt that spelt out the terms: ‘Whoa Nelly!’
The back of the top also featured the back of a woman who had a Better Than Ever tattoo printed across that was a nod to her hit single with the same name. The colorful boots she wore also featured a similar message.
Furtado has always been real about her body weight and struggles and says there’s nothing wrong with embracing her true identity.
Seemingly making a jibe about stereotypes, she wanted to give her haters a loud and clear message, and that had to do with how she’s in her own element and nothing can bring her down.
