Celine Dion Issues Heartbreaking Update Amid Her Battle With Incurable Illness


Celine Dion has issued a heartfelt health update amid her devastating battle with an incurable illness.

The 55-year-old ‘My Heart Will Go On’ hitmaker broke into tears back in December 2022 as she informed her fans that she had been diagnosed with the incurable illness known as stiff-person syndrome.

The autoimmune neurological disorder results in painful spasms and muscle stiffness with symptoms progressing over time.

Celine has since embarked on a mission to document her battle with the illness and her fight to return to the stage in a new documentary I Am: Celine Dion.

Speaking of her movie and providing her fans with a health update, the singer now wrote: “This last couple of years has been such a challenge for me, the journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me.

“As the road to resuming my performing career continues, I have realized how much I have missed it, of being able to see my fans.”

She continued: “During this absence, I decided I wanted to document this part of my life, to try to raise awareness of this little-known condition, to help others who share this diagnosis.”

The worldwide rights to the emotional documentary were secured by Amazon MGM, whereas the film directed by Irene Taylor will be featured on Prime Video.

“From visiting her couture touring wardrobe and personal effects to spending time in the recording studio, the documentary captures a global megastar’s never-before-seen private life,” the movie’s synopsis reads.

The movie will reportedly be made available in over 240 countries. The release date currently remains unclear.
