A Canadian CEO has reportedly been charged with taking his nine-year-old daughter’s life.
According to reports from local media outlets, the killer dad allegedly hid his daughter’s remains under a log inside a remote pond after explaining to the cops that she was abducted by two males.
Organic coffee brand founder Luciano Frattollin tried to dump his daughter’s body in the shallow waters of upstate New York after telling the cops that she was kidnapped at a location that was nearly 45 miles away, the officials claimed.
New York State Police provided more heartbreaking details regarding the little girl’s death inside the press conference on Monday, after charging the dad with second-degree murder and then concealing the remains. He pleaded not guilty to those charges.
Captain Robert McConnell shared how the dad, who lived in Montreal, Canada, killed his daughter on Saturday night while they were on vacation close to the beautiful town of Lake George.
Frattolin and Melina were inside the US legally after they began their vacation on July 11. They were set to return to their relative hometown of Quebec on Sunday.
The horror first unfolded during the late hours of Saturday when Frattolin called the local sheriff’s office in Warren County, stating how two men inside a white van had kidnapped his daughter.
New York State Police issued an Amber Alert to assist in finding the little girl at nearly 10 pm. They advised the general public that she was in imminent danger.
But the detectives swiftly identified many inconsistencies inside the account of detailed events, as well as the timeline that they provided. They found Melina had passed away right before 2 pm on Sunday.
