Officials inside Illinois have rolled out a cause of death for a newlywed pair found inside their car days before they were supposed to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
Police inside Harvard, Illinois mentioned how the couple was found after an officer on October 6 noticed a parked car with its hazard lights activated.
When the officer looked inside the car, he found both individuals dead. The people inside the car were later identified as Rachel Dumovich and Brandon Dumovich from Wisconsin.
The coroner’s officer added that the preliminary findings showed both of them had passed away from gunshot wounds to the head. Currently, an investigation is taking place, and it does seem like a murder-suicide potential situation, but no final determination has been made on this front yet.
Police initially mentioned how people had gunshot wounds, adding how a gun was also found inside the car. While police told residents nearby to shelter in place after finding the dead couple, it was later shared that there was no ongoing threat to the community at this moment in time.
A wedding page on The Knot was made by Rachel, and it described how the couple were middle school sweethearts.
