Canada has a new prime minister and it’s none other than Mark Carney.
After getting elected and taking over power from Justin Trudeau, he was seen making some very bold statements, including inviting Trump to continue with his trade wars and see the consequences of his actions.
Carney has never been a fan of Donald Trump from day one. He’s famous for calling Trump out as Voldemort. And as one can expect, he is certainly not afraid to speak his mind.
The former head of the United Kingdom and Central Banks was named as Trudeau’s successor. He fired shots quickly at Trump in his victory speech.
The 59-year-old won the race by an overwhelmingly majority to lead the nation’s federal Liberty party on Sunday after taking home 86% of all the ballots.
This made him the first outsider with no actual political background to transform into Canada’s next PM.
The long-term banker will take the reins of Canada during the contentious period between the country and America’s trade wars.
Trump threatened Canada that these new tariffs would cripple Canada’s export dependent economy and make Canada the 51st state of the USA.
