President Trump has doubled down on his position about Canada and how it can become the 51st state after King Charles’ show of support regarding independence for the country on Tuesday.
The King, who holds the leading position as Canada’s head of state, was seen accepting an invitation by the new Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, that prompted a series of repeated threats by Trump regarding annexation.
He did not mention the term Trump directly in his speech, but did note how Canada’s anxieties regarding a changing world were altering, and he also reaffirmed that Canada’s sovereignty was indeed the True North and worked as a strong and free nation.
But Trump did not hold back on how much he disagreed.
He mentioned a reply to the visit later on Tuesday, writing that if Canada were to become the 51st state, it would not need to pay to join his future Golden Dome missile program. This has reignited a new feud in North America, and it appears that Trump really does want Canada to become America’s 51st state.
