Johnny Depp’s attorney Camille Vasquez has been gaining popularity among the actor’s fans over her intense cross-examination of Amber Heard in the court.
Social media users have since also begun speculating that the attorney could be dating her client after spotting the pair giggling, exchanging glances, and giving each other big hugs.
Outside the courthouse, Vasquez further fueled dating rumors by laughing after a TMZ reporter asked her if she was dating the Pirates of the Caribbean star.
Fans of Johnny Depp, however, will likely be disappointed to know that nothing is brewing up between him and his beloved lawyer.
According to TMZ, Vasquez is “happily taken” and has been in a relationship with a British realtor for several months.
The publication also suggested sources informed them that her smiling and giggling at Depp is simply a response to the actor’s antics and his warm sense of humor.
“As for all the smiling and giggling some have noticed between Johnny and Camille, we’re told she finds him funny … and couldn’t help but laugh at some of his antics and/or his sense of humor,” TMZ revealed.
They added: “More importantly, our sources tell us Camille is happily taken. She’s dating a British fella who works in real estate – with whom she’s been in a serious relationship for several months.”
It has since come to light that Vasquez is a native Spanish speaker who was born in 1984. She lives in a Buena Park home and is an associate at the legal firm Brown Rudnick.
The aspiring attorney reportedly graduated from the University of Southern California with magna cum laude in 2006 and now specializes in “plaintiff-side defamation suits, with additional experience litigating contract disputes, business-related torts, and employment-related claims” according to her bio.
