A woman from California dubbed ‘the butt lady’ was found guilty on Thursday of murdering Married with Children actress Cindyana Santangelo during a botched silicone injection session.
Libby Adame was convicted of second-degree murder and practicing medicine without a license in connection with the 58-year-old actress’s March 24 death, as shared by the LA Times.
Santangelo, who is a mother of two, passed away after being rushed from her home in Malibu to a Ventura County hospital, where officials ruled that an embolism from a silicone injection resulted in her death.
Defense Attorney Flanagan spoke to jurors about how Adame was only at Santangelo’s home as a consultant on behalf of doctors who could legally perform buttocks injections in Tijuana, Mexico.
He continued to argue more about how his client did not have time to perform the procedure on Santangelo and blasted all the investigators for pinning the woman’s death on her without any kind of full investigation.
At the time of the ER star’s death, Adame was believed to be on probation from an involuntary manslaughter case over fatal buttocks injections from 2019 that killed the 26-year-old star Karissa Rajpaul in Sherman Oaks, as per the LA Times.
