At least 28 people were killed in an accident involving a bus that fell more than 2500 feet into a ravine.
The tragedy took place in Bolivia and several media outlets reported on the incident and the number of fatalities in the region.
The vehicle went down in the southwest district of Yocalla after the driver lost full control along the way on Monday.
As per a recently published preliminary report attained by Unitel, the local police spoke about how 31 people were passengers and they have killed on board that bus at the time of the incident.
The number was later confirmed to be 28 but the police fear there might be some more fatalities. 14 other passengers were rushed to the nearby hospital including four children.
Two of those injured parties needed more treatment in the ICU, sources revealed. The authorities feared the driver was making his way towards the city of Oruo and happened to be speeding at the time when the incident arose. So he was not able to control the vehicle at the time of the accident. More investigations are taking place as loved ones demand more answers and justice.
